Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
BeaconCue is a work-intelligence platform for nano companies (teams of up to 50 people). The service is operated by BeaconCue (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at hello@beaconcue.com.
2. What data we collect
Account data: your name, work email address, and password (hashed by Supabase Auth — we never see your plain-text password).
Workspace data: organisation name, logo, office locations, team members, OKRs, tickets, time logs, leave records, and release notes that you or your team enter into BeaconCue.
Usage data: pages visited, features used, and in-app events (e.g. “ticket created”). This is collected via Google Analytics (GA4) and our own internal event log. IP addresses are anonymised.
GitHub data (optional): if you connect a GitHub organisation, we fetch commit activity, pull request, and branch data for linked repositories. We only read data; we never write to your repositories.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and operate the BeaconCue service.
- To send transactional emails (email confirmation, password reset, team invitations).
- To improve the product using aggregated, anonymised usage analytics.
- To contact you about your account or material changes to these terms (we do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in).
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II compliant.
The application server runs on Hostinger shared hosting in the EU. We apply row-level security policies in Supabase so each workspace can only access its own data.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following sub-processors that are necessary to operate the service:
- Supabase — database and authentication
- Hostinger — application hosting
- Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics
- Grafana Cloud — server-side error and performance logging (no personal data is included in logs)
6. Cookies
BeaconCue uses a single session cookie set by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for usage tracking. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Your rights
You may at any time:
- Export your workspace data as CSV directly from Settings → Export. You can also email us for a full JSON export of all your data.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data — use the Settings → Delete Account option or email us. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.
- Correct inaccurate personal data from the Settings page in the app.

8. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all workspace data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
We will notify account owners by email before making material changes to this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
